Frequently Asked Questions
How Can I Make a Booking?
If your really serious, then you can cut to the chase and use the Blue "Make a Booking" button just down on the bottom right corner of your screen and lock in a date and time!
As we shoot only a limited number of sessions each month, we do ask for a $250 deposit upon booking confirmation. This helps to dissuade your photo fearing partner from pulling the pin at the last moment!
What Should I Wear?
Generally we recommend avoiding strong patterns, large logos or text, and garments that are too baggy! Choose your favourite piece and build everything around it.
You don't need to go out shopping, you just need to co-ordinate what you have in your own wardrobe.
Before your shoot call us to chat about what you are thinking, and also check out our Blog Post below.
Do You Use a Make Up Artist?
We don't use Make Up Artists for the majority of our shoots. We happily rely on your own abilities or those of someone you trust! We then add a little magic in retouching if needed.
If you would like some help we happily offer professional Make Up Artists as an additional service if requested. Fees typically start at $200 for a 1.5 hour Hair and Make Up session prior to your shoot.
Can I Bring My Pet?
Pets are part of the Family, and we photograph families!
So absolutely yes! Common sense applies though... no alligators and any cleaning bills belong to you!
How Do We Choose Our Photos?
Once we have finished our shoot, we will upload all of the best shots to your Client Gallery. We then send an email with your Login details. From here, it's just a matter of clicking on your favourites for us to see and process.
If your stuck choosing, we have made it easy to share your Gallery with friends and family for second opinions! If your still stuck let us know, we are always happy to help out with advice.
How Long Before We Receive Our Photos?
We don't like to rush Art, and your images are really important to us. We craft your printed images with love and care... and this takes a little time. On average it takes about 21 days from the shoot to receive your final Artworks.
Step by Step:
Once we have finished your shoot we take between 7 - 10 days to edit, process and upload all of your images to your own client gallery.
From this point we ask you to mark out your favourite images (as supplied in your client gallery) to fulfill your Package i.e. for the More Choice Package you should select up to 13 different images.
Once we have your selects we go to work on creating high resolution files, followed by retouching if required, and preparing them for the printing process. This stage takes up to 5 days.
Finally, we send our image files to one of Australia's best Printing Labs to create the final Art works. This process usually take 3 - 5 days.
What Happens If I Want To Choose More?
The hardest part is choosing! You are always welcome to choose more if you like. If you end up with better value by moving up to the next Package then that is what we recommend.
However if you are only after one or two extra images for example, then let us know and we can provide you with an A La Carte price list.
What Is An Archival Print?
We create Fine Art Archival Prints that are Museum and Art Gallery quality.
We use a professional Australian Lab that prints with a purpose built ink jet printer that is colour managed and carefully calibrated. Each of your prints is hand colour corrected so that what you see in our studio is what you will see at home.
The Pigment Prints they create will last over 100 years when cared for properly. They are simply stunning to behold... make it real and have it printed. You will understand once you have them.
What Are the Framed Artworks?
Some of our Packages include a Canvas or Framed Artwork up to a 40cm x 60cm size. We love these!
The Canvas is frame free and printed on a cotton based material (it is so real that it may sometimes even have flecks of seeds and grains). Once printing is complete, the canvas is colour checked and then cured with a protective spray coating to add decades of longevity.
If you would like a Frame around your picture, then we offer Italian made natural timber options as well as coated mouldings in Black, White and Silver.
Our Canvases and Frames are hand-made and the results are epic works of Art created for your own home.
